GOLDEN SAMPLER REPRODUCTION by Hello From Liz Mathews Cross Stitch Pattern

The Golden Sampler is a gorgeous piece dating back to 1845 when it was stitched by Elizabeth Ann Bayley, age 8. The piece uses brown, gold, and green tones throughout and features a small landscape, beautiful banding, sweet verses, and a gorgeous border. I found this piece so charming; I created a smaller adaptation featuring some of my favorite parts of the larger sampler. I hope you stitch and enjoy whichever piece you like most!

 

I have charted the Golden Sampler Reproduction and Adaptation using the muted and aged tones of the threads and kept many of the quirks featured in the original.

 

This sampler uses straight stitches, cross stitch, and cross stitch over one to complete.

269 wide x 359 high

I recommend any yellow or green under toned piece of fabric.
