Quilted Frill by Heart in Hand Cross Stitch Pattern. Donna Sue Groves, of Adams County, Ohio, is credited with the popularity of the modern barn quilt movement. The originator of the first documented barn quilt trail, Donna Sue painted a quilt to honor her mother and her mother's love of quilting. The quilt and the barn featured on Quilted Frill are a replica and tribute to Donna. Though she died in 2021, Donna's idea sparked tens of thousands of quilt squares on barns throughout North America for all to enjoy.
