I’m working on this chart right now. I don’t like writing a negative review so I will start with saying this chart is adorable, absolutely love it!
However, the photo on the front of the pattern looks nothing like the DMC colors in the color key. There are no General Arts colors in the color key. DMC is not the conversion, it is the only option. The DMC colors don’t come close to the photography.
For instance in the photo the medium dark purplish color on the butterfly wings is actually charted in the DMC 3853 orange. The dark gray/black part of the wings is charted with DMC 413 a medium gray.
I am now having to totally do my own color conversion with fancy floss and DMC to match the photo because those colors are what makes this such a beautiful piece.
And to leave on a positive note the paper chart itself is probably one of the highest quality paper charts that I’ve ever bought.
I am now having to do a
